The Lidar group belongs to the ABC team (Atmosphere, Biosphere and Climate ABC) at LMD (Laboratoire de Météorologie Dynamique LMD) and adresses the scientific issues of innovative instrumentation in Lidar for new observations and studies in the atmosphere on aerosols, dynamics, greenhouse gases particularly at troposphere-biosphere and intra-atmosphere interfaces with applications in climate and environnement.
Research projects link two domain of physics: (1) laser and optics (2) atmospheric physics and chemistry. The Lidar-ABC research projects are headed by Dr. Pierre H. Flamant
The Lidar-ABC group operates in the Laboratoire de Meteorologie Dynamique at Ecole Polytechnique located 20 km south-west Paris.
This work is supported by the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales (CNES), le Centre National de Recherche Scientifique et l’Institut National des Sciences de l’Univers (CNRS-INSU) and the French National Agency (ANR) and the European Space Agency (ESA).
